ANGELS&DEMONS

The incredibly intriguing and fast paced novel "Angels and Demons", has me in a typhoon of thoughts circling one question; What is the truth about the universe and what equation are we a result of? At CERN, a scientific community dedicated to finding technology to further us as a human race, a question is answered that man has asked himself since the begining of time. Antimatter, the opposite of matter, is discovered. This product cannot be created on Earth, "My father set out to do something no one has ever had the technology to do, he created a universe from nothing at all." Unfortuetly the scientific breakthrough has much conflict with religous practices. However, the creator of universe had one goal in mind, to link religion to science. As the book continues I will find the answers to this conflict.

I agree totally, that question is prevalent in this book.

Any book that leaves you in a typhoon of thoughts is obviously worth reading...I found the continous references to different technology and religion really confusing, as I could not distinguish between reality and ficton.

No matter where or how far anybody goes in life, there will come a time that they will wonder about where they came from and where they're going. Mankind has yet to find enough proof to find any theory to be fact. Some people will be so caught up on one belief that they will be absolutely close-minded to any others. In the defence of these people, it is essentially healthy to have some closure on beliefs. It was good of Dan Brown to write this book, as it forces the reader to ask themselves that question. He really seems to want to make his book the biggest, most over-the-top thing that anyone's ever read. Real deep.

If they have discovered a material called 'antimatter', but it cannot be created on Earth, how did they discover it? I apologize if this is a very obvious question, since I have not read the book. If matter is made out of atoms, then what is antimatter made out of?
