This moment
This perfect moment has been captured for a fraction of a second. The picture tells me this moment could last forever. This moment is the reward for the endless wading patience. The experience approaches slowly but hits faster than expected. The smooth role pushes everything forward and he feels the moment. Earth, mother nature, higher power or whatever you call it, it still leads to the same thing. This moment, this perfect moment. Suddenly, the hot summer air is hitting his skin and the cool ocean blue is balancing a perfect temperature. The exhilarating movement of the water is flowing up through his legs and into his mind. He realizes this is his moment. Everything around him is absorbed, the clear sky matching the blue ocean, the blazing sun scorching the sand and the salty air being sucked into his lungs. Suddenly focus hits. Faster than ever he is being shot through a blue cyclone. His board is the only friend he has to keep him a float. The ocean's power rushes him out of the barrelling blue water. It's all over. The ocean takes its calm and steady poise once again. No waves, no rolls, just calm. The moment is finished but not over. The picture has it forever and can be experienced at anytime. This is a perfect moment. http://www.travelwizard.com/tahiti/media/rte-import/tahiti%20surf%20vacation.jpg

RANT
Golf is rapidly becoming a more athletic sport. It has been questioned to even be a sport, but now golfers are working out in the gym up to 5 hours twice a day. Tiger Woods is the sole reason for golfers becoming athletes. His performance outweighs the competition just like Tyson outweighed competitors in the ring. Woods entered his rookie season in 1996 with the idea that he would train himself like an NFL linebacker.
People question Tiger's reign as the best player in the world because of the current level of competition. From the 60's to the 80's Players such as Jack Nickalus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson were always favoured to win the majors because of their unbelievable talent. Golf Courses are up to 800 yards longer than when those players reigned. Now however anyone in the field has a chance to win a major, because of how athletic the players are. The athleticism that a golfer must acquire to win a major is astronomical. Woods will always have the edge on his competition as he is one of the most disciplined athletes in the world and clearly the best golfer.
Tiger transformed the sport and is now permanently ahead of any other player in any given field. Arnold Palmer made golf boring to fun, and Tiger has made it fun to cool. Even the likes of Michael Jordan have praised Tiger to be the best golfer ever, and even possibly the best athlete. Golf has lacked 2 things in the past, excitement and athleticism. Tiger has brought the two and made them a mandatory part of the sport. His charisma and talent have transformed golf from a pass time to a new and exciting sport.
All I can say is Tiger Woods is the name of the game. Indeed that sounds cliche but he has made golf into a new super human sport. 350 yard drives, 68 scoring average per year, and 13 majors at the age of 30 are a few impressive accomplishments that Tiger brings to the tour every year. As Tiger says, "Records are ment to be broken, thats why they're records", and records will be made so long Tiger is in the field. Anyway all I can say is appreciate what is happening in golf right now, it may never happen again.

Top 3.
Golf technology is continually advancing, especially drivers. 2008's line of 460cc drivers is outstanding. Brands such as Titleist, Nike, and Callaway set the bar for quality every year.
Titleist leans towards a more traditional look which tend to be for more advanced players. The 907 D2 driver from Titleist is an expensive but very price worthy golf club. It has an increased moment of inertia which results in a longer ball flight with more shot control. MOI is the club head's resistance to twisting on off-center impact (i.e., heel, toe, high, or low). Nike is constantly pushing the limits of club design.
The Nike SUMO Squared driver has a massive 460cc club head with a square design. The SUMO design maxes out all USGA limits which regulate MOI, volume and impact efficiency. Though it is obviously has the best technological advancements possible, it's design looks like a shoe box. However its efficiency makes up for its appearance.
Callaway has followed Nike on its path for modern science and the limits of the USGA. The Callaway Ft-i driver is designed to be the world's straightest driver. It includes the square design for a very high MOI. Though it's club design has been very effective as to what Callaway has sought of for, its appearance is attrocious. It also looks like a shoe box. The three drivers are all very effective in their own way.
The Titleist 907 D2 is the best club for a more advanced player seeking for shot workability, and the Callaway and Nike designs are best offered to the higher handicapper looking for more accuracy and distance. 2008's line of drivers are definetly the best ever. I'm sure next year's will be even better.

Whatever I Want
Nirvana has and always will be a band remembered for not caring about people caring. Their edgy lyrics were always pushing the limits in a world of conformity. Lyrics addressing anarchy are constant in Nirvanas songs, "With the lights out it's less dangerous Here we are now, entertain us". The fuel they are driven by is from people who disagree on the position they chose as musicians. Feelings of intimidation through Curt Cobains' lyrics are put forth as he wants to show society he doesnt care about society, "Load up on guns and bring your friendsIt's fun to lose and to pretend"

ANGELS&DEMONS
The incredibly intriguing and fast paced novel "Angels and Demons", has me in a typhoon of thoughts circling one question; What is the truth about the universe and what equation are we a result of? At CERN, a scientific community dedicated to finding technology to further us as a human race, a question is answered that man has asked himself since the begining of time. Antimatter, the opposite of matter, is discovered. This product cannot be created on Earth, "My father set out to do something no one has ever had the technology to do, he created a universe from nothing at all." Unfortuetly the scientific breakthrough has much conflict with religous practices. However, the creator of universe had one goal in mind, to link religion to science. As the book continues I will find the answers to this conflict.

Movie Review- I AM LEGEND
"I am Legend" is an intriguing and fast paced movie that constantly keeps the viewer's attention. In the year 2009 the cure for cancer is believed to be found, however it is in fact an extremely hazardous biochemical disease that reverses human evolution. Humans lose complete control of their normal survival senses to a point they can't go near sunlight. The main character, Robert Neville(Will Smith), is a military scientist who is supposedly the lone survivor of the disease from 3 years previous. Neville's only ambition is to find the antidote to the horrible man made catastrophe. The only thing he has to keep him from breaking to the point of insanity is his dog Sam. Though the film has a very interesting plot that keeps the viewer attached to philosophical thoughts of how and when the end of mankind will be? The director constantly puts Dr.Neville in suspenseful scenes where he faces the human turned zombies in extremely tense situations, which keeps the viewer on the edge of his or her seat. Roberts character is very absorbing as you get into his head of how horrible his day to day life is. At his point of destruction, after losing Sam, he tries to commit suicide and another survivor saves him which keeps him from deteriorating into an insane mess. Nearing the end of the movie the zombies discover where Neville and the other two survivors are living and they arre forced to retreat to his lab where he finds he has discovered the cure to the man made disease. The infected people attack Robert and the survivors as he frantically tries to calm the zombies down to give them the antidote. He has no choice but to give the cure to the other two and blow up the infected people along with himself. The antidote eventually makes it to a military enforced safe ground for the few survivors that are left on planet Earth. "I am legend" is unfortunately one of 2007's most underrated and unappreciated films.

Ignornace is Bliss
Though society may be aware of the worlds atrocities we may not know the entire significance of the situations. However we have the resources to come aware of the complications. We must work together to overcome the world's problems. Leadership is the tool that can be used to bring people together to solve any moral struggles that we face as the human population. As individuals we all have the power to be leaders and use leadership in a positive manner to bring forth beneficial outcomes for everyone. Once a problem is intoduced it must be solved. It is a responsibilty for humans to respect and take care of eachother as if we are all family.
